Hend has been designing since 2014.
London based designer designer Hend Krichen established her practice around the love of rediscovering her own heritage of being Tunisian-born. Digging deep into her roots of North African history led to her creative process of rediscovering techniques and processes that allowed creativity to flow through her designs.
Ultimately leading to a collection of handmade luxury homewares, designed to transcend craftsmanship, modernity, heritage, various cultural influences all into one.
The main focus within the practice is; producing beautiful timeless objects designed to enrich everyday lives through the use of the rich artisanal skills and craftsmanship.

Heritage & Background
Tunisia
A country rich in culture and heritage, due to it’s geographical location. Situated in the North of Africa, making it easily accessible from Europe. Tunisia has had ample cultural influences, making its history diverse. This has influenced its people, culture and ultimately the craftsmanship and trade.
Multicultural Upbringing
Hend’s father is a journalist, as a result she was fortunate to have lived in different countries growing up. This had a positive impact on her upbringing and ultimately the influences that shaped her as an individual and a designer.
Identity
Hend is a true believer that the objects we use today, will tell our story in centuries to come. So long as they are timeless and are well made. This is obvious in the design and manufacture of Hend Krichen objects.
Responsibility
We feel a responsibility to ensure that the products we sell are providing meaning. Telling the story is more important than just selling another item.
